Accommodations / Program Accessibility
We are committed to fostering an attitude of inclusion and access. Our programs and activities shall be accessible to people with disabilities. Individuals who need reasonable accommodations to attend events or meetings are asked to inform the SILC of their needs. The SILC shall announce events with sufficient lead time to give attendees an opportunity to ask for such accommodations.
Alternative Formats May Include:

- Large Print
- Digital Audio Recording
- CD, E-mail attachment (MP3, WAV, RealAudio)
- Digital Text (CD, E-mail attachment, MSWord, accessible PDF)
- Sign Language Interpreter
- CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation)
- Assistive Listening Device
Reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request. Please include a description of the accommodation you will need including as much detail as you can. Please include a way we can contact you if more information is needed. Make your request as early as possible; please allow at least 5 days advance notice. Last minute requests will be accepted, but may be impossible to fill. Please submit your reasonable accommodation request by e-mail or call the SILC office by phone at (916) 263-7905.
Accessible Meetings:
Meetings shall be accessible to people with disabilities. Agendas and handouts will be provided in accessible formats. Sign language interpreters, open captioning, and assistive listening devices are available upon request.
